We are currently using the site as a way of showcasing the panoramic photographs that we create to import into our virtual tours. Flickr is an excellent tool for gauging reactions to our work, and to join communities of fellow photographers who are passionate about the places our tours help to promote, and the medium we work in. Be sure to check our gallery regularly, as we will frequently use it to publish exciting new work prior to the release of forthcoming virtual tours. Virtual Tours head North

June 9th, 2006 by Administrator

The newly launched Kirklees Visitor Portal displays our first example of exporting our Virtual Tours to an indipendant external source. A project of Kirklees Metropolitan Council, the aim of the visitor portal is to allow potential visitors and residents to gather information and view parts of this Yorkshire region. After a rigorous round of user testing, the feedback shows the positive marketing effect that our Virtual Tours have on potential customers. One tester explained that seeing our tour would make her;

“…definately more inclined to go because it makes you more familiar with the area…the more familiar you are with an area before you go, and the more information you have, the better…”

Testers were from a range of social and cultural backgrounds, with varying degrees of web experience and use, providing us with a useful variety of feedback on our tours.

More choice for Sheltered Housing tenants

March 20th, 2006 by Administrator

From today Camden council’s sheltered housing customers can reap the benefits of choice based lettings in partnership with Home Connections and Camden Council. Sheltered Housing tenants, who may need more care or assistance, now have all the benefits of Choice Based Lettings, allowing them the freedom and opportunity to choose, bid for and view properties themselves.

We have created a number of virtual tours for the schemes which bring the properties direct to them through their web browser saving them time money and energy on wasted visits. We believe this will be a popular and effective service judging by the comments from the user group who road tested the proposals. This will prove to be a great advantage to these particular tenants, who sometimes have mobility issues. We will be showcasing our tours of some of the schemes at the forthcoming Sheltered Housing open day, which you can find out about by clicking here.
